Wellington Phoenix – managed to contain Heskey and get a vital 3 points at the weekend.
The rest of the pack and Man City – except Man City all of the top 4 lost at the weekend. Not a regular occurrence but a bookies dream, and keeps the rest of the league in touch.
Norwich – one of the leagues inform team – unbeaten in 5 and taken 9 points from Man Utd, Arsenal and Stoke!
Arsenal – needed 3 points against their local rivals. After a poor start Adebayor handed them the impetus after 18 minutes and the gunners started to play without the handbrake Wenger talks about. Questions still must be asked about the defense after conceding 2 more goals from individual mistakes.
Del Piero – 2 goals at the weekend proves Del Piero still has what is needed in the A-league. Questions remain over his 10 team mates.
Southampton – good performances dont keep you up at the end of the season – points do. 4 good performances at the start of the season and no points its not about playing well its about points. 4 points from there last 2 matches hopefully means the saints have learnt how to get points on the board and not friends.
Suarez – another 2 goals this weekend, carrying the Liverpool team so far this season. If Martinez claim that he stamped on David Jones is upheld will mean Suarez is in both the winners and loser section for a 3rd week in a row
Adebayor – has a tendency to score and then get sent off against his former clubs. After giving spurs the perfect start to the north London derby he ruined it with a lunge on Cazorla.
Sydney FC – this really isnt how all the sydney fans imagined the season would go when they signed Del Piero! Question marks remain over his 10 team mates.
QPR – winless in 10 games, turning out to be a very long second season. The vultures are starting to circle for Mark Hughes.
Sunderland – 4 goals in 10 matches and the points didn’t look secure until Fulham were reduced to 10 men.
Ibrahimovic – we have all seen it by now but just in case check it out
